The shelter in place at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School remained in place as school ended Wednesday. Students are being dismissed at their regularly scheduled time.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School remains on lockdown as Maryland-National Capital Park Police investigate a call about shots fired in the 4700 block of Chase Avene.
The reported shooting did not occur on school grounds, and the school is on lockdown as a precaution, according to Montgomery County Police.
The lockdown was first reported by police at 11:30 a.m.
There are no victims, and no one is in custody at this time.
