Bethesda’s annual Winter Wonderland returns Saturday, Dec. 3. Celebrate the holiday season from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Norfolk Avenue Streetery in downtown Bethesda with Santa Claus, live ice sculpting, live music, face painting, arts & crafts activities, and a scavenger hunt.
The Norfolk Avenue Streetery is located at the corner of Norfolk and St. Elmo Avenues in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle. This family friendly event is free. Those who are able are asked to bring a new toy for Toys for Tots.
The schedule of Saturday’s activities include:
Ice Sculpting Demo from 1-2 p.m.
Blocks of ice are transformed into pieces of art. The sculptor will use chainsaws, ice picks and other tools.
Visit with Santa Claus from 2-4 p.m.
Student Concert from 2-4 p.m.
A choral concert from local school choirs. Students will perform winter inspired music. There will be free crafts, games and complimentary hot cider for children. The schools include the Academy of the Holy Cross, Chevy Chase Elementary School, Our Lady of Lourdes, Stone Ridge School, and Walt Whitman and Walter Johnson High Schools.
All events Saturday are free.
