Police said a bicyclist was fatally struck in a collision Wednesday in Germantown.
Officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Frederick Road and Gunners Branch Road at about 9:49 p.m. for a reported collision involving a bicyclist, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to police, a driver in an Acura going northbound on Frederick Road struck the bicyclist.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his name will be released after notifying next of kin.
The driver stayed at the scene.
Police are investigating the collision. Detectives are investigating involvement of additional vehicles, according to MCPD.
