Maryland’s booming biotech field just added a major new facility.
Vigene Biosciences opened its new headquarters in Rockville on Wednesday and officials say it’s a pioneer in gene therapy.
The $20 million, state-of-the-art facility will be a place where scientists can work towards curing serious and rare diseases. Vigene Biosciences COO, Dr. Jeffrey Hung says they are working on a potential partnership with another company to help develop a manufacturing platform for a possible coronavirus vaccine.
