$1500 were raised through tennis lessons for the Upcounty Consolidation Hub at BlackRock Center for the Arts.
The Montgomery TennisPlex and its coaches along with the support from the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) gave back to the local community by offering private, semi-private and customized group lessons.
“TennisPlex wanted to give back to the local community especially after the last 18 very challenging months,” said Jack Schore, founder and CEO, Montgomery TennisPlex. “So, we thought what better way than to have our amazing coaching staff donate their time and tennis knowledge to teach and giveback to both junior and adult players from the area. We are excited to partner with the Chamber for this Give-Back Event where all proceeds went back to the Upcounty Consolidation Hub at BlackRock.”
The TennisPlex added $560 to the $940 raised from the tennis lessons for a grand total of $1500 going to charity. Proceeds of the tennis day were donated to support the work of the Upcounty Consolidation Hub at BlackRock Center for the Arts, providing food and supplies to families in need.
“We thank the TennisPlex for their generosity,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC president. It’s always great to partner with our Chamber Members. Even better when we can give back to the community.”
