Ingleside at Rock Creek, Westminster at Lake Ridge, Ingleside at King Farm part of the Ingleside family of life plan communities, were recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s recently released list of 2021-22 Best Nursing Homes.
All three communities earned High-Performing ratings, Ingleside at Rock Creek receiving for short-term rehabilitation and long term-care: and Westminster at Lake Ridge and Ingleside at King Farm for short-term rehabilitation.
“We are honored to be recognized again in the list of top nursing homes,” said Chief Operating Officer Christine L. Podles, MA, HSE, LNHA. “At Ingleside our short- and long-term care programs are facilitated by skilled nursing staff who are dedicated to the resident’s rehabilitation and recovery.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, there are new requirements to earn a High-Performing rating, including federal CMS data (published by October 14) which must list the home as having a COVID-19 staff-vaccination rate of at least 75 percent. Of the more than 15,000 U.S. skilled-nursing facilities evaluated by U.S. News, only 13 percent have earned even a single Best Nursing Homes badge.
The Short-Term Rehabilitation ratings are given after analyzing the quality of care the facility provides to residents requiring rehabilitation care for short visits. The Long-Term Care rating is evaluating how well the nursing home provides care to residents who need daily assistance with both medical and nonmedical needs.
This recognition comes at a time when Ingleside life plan communities have enhanced programs, services and spaces. Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington D.C. opened a Center for Healthy Living, memory support assisted living and 105 independent living residences. Westminster at Lake Ridge near Occoquan, Virginia recently opened its Center for Healthy Living. Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, Maryland opened its state-of-the-art Center for Healthy Living, memory support assisted living and 120 independent living residences.
