The Montgomery County Board of Education has opened up applications for a spot on the Board’s five-member Ethics Panel and is seeking responses by 5 p.m. on August 2.
The opening, for which the eventual occupant will not be financially compensated, is for a term running through June 30, 2027. The Ethics Panel is responsible for approving financial disclosure forms, interpreting the Board’s Ethics Policy and issuing accompanying advisory opinions and conducting hearings concerning alleged violations.
Applicants for the position cannot be incumbent members of the Board of Education, school officials, employees, anyone employed by a business under the Board’s authority or the spouse of any such individual.
The Board is asking for applicants to send in a letter of interest along with a resumé and supporting documentation to Tom Lockman at his email address, Thomas_C_Lockman@mcpsmd.org.
