In Montgomery County voters get lots of opportunities to exercise their franchise. They have a choice of Early Voting Days, mail in ballots and the tried-and-true voting in person on primary election day.
To find out how the numbers add up so far, MCM checked in with Dr. Gilberto Zelaya, the Public Information Officer for the Board of Elections. Here’s what he told us.
The Board of Elections will continue to canvass votes sent in by mail until every ballot postmarked by midnight May 14 has been counted. For an in depth civics lesson you can watch the vote counting streamed online at the Board of Elections or visit the canvass site at Montgomery College in Germantown to observe the process.
