At around 10 p.m. on Thursday, the Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services Bomb Squad conducted an emergency controlled detonation of recovered explosives at an outdoor shooting range in the area of Dickerson and Poolesville, along Elmer School Rd.
MCPD warned residents a loud noise may be heard at the time of detonation, but that there was no cause for alarm.
At approx. 10:30 p.m., Montgomery County Fire Rescue Bomb Squad will be conducting a controlled emergency destruction of recovered explosives at an outdoor shooting range in the Poolesville/Dickerson area. Area residents may hear a loud noise, however there is no need for alarm.
