The heroism of Brigadier General Charles McGee was remembered by the East Coast Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen on Thursday morning at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va. A wreath was laid there in his name.
The son of a Documented Official Tuskegee Airman (DOTA), Richard Baugh, reminded attendees of the contributions the Airmen made to equality for all Americans.
Brigadier General Charles McGee died in January 2022 at the age of 102. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in June. Thursday, March 24 marked the 81st Anniversary of the famed Tuskegee Airmen.
