Brookside Gardens’ newest exhibit, “Middle Eastern American Artists in the Garden and Beyond” has opened for public in-person viewing from March 29 through April 25, located at the Brookside Gardens’ Visitor Center in Wheaton.
In partnership with the Middle Eastern American (MEA) Advisory Group of the Office of Community Partnerships, the co-sponsored exhibit aims to bridge MEA and other ethnic cultures in Montgomery County.
According to Montgomery Park’s description, “The exhibition will include diverse artistic styles from traditional still life, illumination, calligraphy, and landscapes to neo-expressionism, abstract expressionism, figurative painting and surrealism.”
The park is also offering a virtual viewing option of the exhibit on their website. Here you will be able to find all the featured works including artist biographies of Maysoon Zaidan AlGburi, Arwa Khadr ElBoraei, Mariam Hathor, Sughra Hussainy and Khalid Alaani.
