Cabin John Regional Park is the place to be this Saturday for dogs and their people. Montgomery Parks hosts the dog-themed holiday market Nov. 18 at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda. This free event features live music, refreshments for saile, a canine photo booth with the Grinch, and pet-themed shopping.
The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cabin John Regional Park, located at 7400 Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda. Parking is available in two large lots on either side of the park. One is off Tuckerman Lane and the other is off Westlake Drive. Overflow parking will be available at 10600 Westlake Drive.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and relax as they listen to rock music from the band Capital Effect at the amphitheater stage. Cabin John has a dog park across the lane from the market where owners may turn their dogs loose. When not in the dog park, owners must make sure to have their pets on a leash.
Providers of pet-related services such as adoption, training and grooming will be on site with information about their offerings. And Maryland-based businesses will be selling pet-themed gifts for pet lovers, as well as gifts and treats for pets.
