A car fatally struck a male pedestrian in Silver Spring after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
The pedestrian attempted to cross University Boulevard East near Langley Drive, when a 2013 Ford Focus struck him. The pedestrian was transferred to the hospital where he later died of his injuries, MCPD said.
The driver, a 34-year-old male of Silver Spring, was not injured as a result of the collision, police said.
Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are still investigating the collision and charges have not been made yet, according to MCPD.
