Caribbean-American Heritage Festival Set for June 22 in Wheaton

A Caribbean-American Heritage Celebration and Resource Fair is set for June 22 in Wheaton in recognition of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month.

The celebration will run from noon to 6 p.m. at the Wheaton Marian Fryer Town Plaza on Reedie Road.

Cultures from Haiti, Panama, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and Grenada will be featured.

There will be a diverse array of foods, entertainment, culture, hands-on learning and resources.

The event will be held rain or shine. It is sponsored by the Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce for the DMV, Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, Wheaton Urban District, Heart of Tabitha Foundation and area businesses.
