A Caribbean-American Heritage Celebration and Resource Fair is set for Aug. 3 in Wheaton. The festival was originally scheduled for June 22 in recognition of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month.
The celebration will run from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Wheaton Marian Fryer Town Plaza on Reedie Road.
Cultures from Haiti, Panama, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and Grenada will be featured.
There will be a diverse array of foods, entertainment, culture, hands-on learning and resources.
The event will be held rain or shine. It is sponsored by the Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce for the DMV, Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, Wheaton Urban District, Heart of Tabitha Foundation and area businesses.
