CASA is offering scholarships to Montgomery County residents who cannot afford the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) naturalization filing fee.
The Montgomery County Maryland Citizenship Scholarship can provide up to $300 to help offset the $725 fee for eligible applicants.
Other than residing in Montgomery County, candidates must be legal residents with income under the 300% federal poverty guideline: $36,420 for single residents and $75,300 for a family of four.
Although there is no due date to apply, scholarships are limited. Those who are eligible to apply may also qualify for a USCIS fee waiver. Interested applicants can apply for the scholarship here or call 240-491-5705.
CASA is a Mid-Atlantic non-profit organization dedicated to “create a more just society by building power and improving the quality of life in working-class and immigrant communities.”
