The Afro-Latino Festival promises fun for all ages in Silver Spring this Sunday, July 30.
Held in Veterans Plaza from 1 to 9 p.m., the free festival features arts and crafts, live music from international and local artists and salsa and samba lessons. Food and artisan vendors will also be on site.
The festival is hosted by Carnival Nation, an organization that hosts heritage events to showcase Caribbean, Latin and African culture. The group hosted a Caribbean American Heritage Festival in Silver Spring earlier this summer.
