Calling all chalk artist enthusiasts.
The second annual Downtown Silver Spring Chalk Fest on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is designed to transform Ellsworth Drive into a colorful masterpiece designed by artists of all levels.
Chalk Riot and Arts on the Block joined with Peterson Companies to enable anyone with chalk to have fun. Spaces along the pedestrian plaza between Fenton Street and Georgia Avenues will be dedicated to artists who reserve a space for their masterpieces and a special section called the community chalk zone is for anyone to just color away.
Reservations are required for dedicated spaces.
