The Tidal Basin’s cherry blossom trees have reached stage five of six, according to the National Park Service (NPS).
The blossoms are starting to show, NPS shared Saturday on Twitter.
Stage five shows “puffy white,” according to NPS, and the next stage is peak bloom.
Monday marks the first day of spring.
