The University of Maryland Police Department made an arrest Friday in connection with a string of three indecencies that took place between Jan. 24 and Feb. 1, the department said in a news release.
Ryan Cibula, 36, of Clarksburg, was charged with three counts of indecent exposure.
Cibula was arrested on Feb. 1 after a female student reported to police that a man had exposed himself in a white van near Elkton Hall. UMPD’s Security Operations Center tracked the van’s location, giving responding officers the chance to stop Cibula from fleeing the campus.
Upon bringing Cibula into their headquarters, UMPD determined he was connected to two reports of indecent exposure on Jan. 24. A safety notice distributed to all campus personnel that day also described a man who drove a white van.
A UMD Safety Notice was sent this evening for an indecent exposure that occurred earlier today on campus.
