On Tuesday, the biggest star at the Washington Commanders training camp practice wasn’t on the field. 100-year-old Melba Jacobson from Silver Spring has been a fan of the team for over 80 years since she moved here in the 1940s when Sammy Baugh was the team’s quarterback. Jacobson was celebrated and serenaded by players and fans in Ashburn, Va. during the team’s final practice in front of fans.
