The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) are offering free financial seminars on the ins and outs of “all things money,” according to a press release.
The four-part series of “financial health and wellness seminars” is open to all and will take place on Tuesdays in October and early November from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. through Zoom. Registration is required for each seminar, and after registering, attendees will receive a Zoom link. According to the press release, these are the following seminars:
- Financial Planning 101 on Oct. 15 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Attendees will learn the basics of financial planning to build a strong financial foundation. To register, click here.
- Retirement Planning on Oct. 22 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Attendees will learn how to effectively plan for retirement to maximize resources and independence. To register, click here.
- Social Security & Medicare on Oct. 29 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Attendees will learn the essentials of navigating Social Security and Medicare to maximize benefits and manage healthcare costs. To register, click here.
- Divorce & Money on Nov. 5 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Attendees will learn how to manage finances during and after a divorce to ensure financial stability and fiscal future. To register, click here.
According to the press release, various financial and investment advisors will lead the seminars, such as Jamie Lapin, Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant.
