The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will host a community meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to identify strategies to end homelessness for county residents.
The event is part of the county’s interagency homelessness commission and will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mt. Cavalry Baptist Church in Rockville.
Participants are required to register online by Friday at this link.
This month’s meeting will be part two of the work that various stakeholders began at their Sept. 8 virtual community meeting on homelessness.
To build on strategies identified during the September meeting, county health and human services will have Built for Zero – an organization that aids communities in ending homelessness using data and works to ensure fewer people are experiencing homelessness than what is typically routine in a community.
A light breakfast and lunch will also be provided at the event.
