Police said a construction sign board was hacked to show racist messaging over the weekend.
At about 6:47 a.m. on Saturday, multiple calls were received about a sign board — which was meant for construction safety messages — showing a racist message in Brookeville near Brookeville Road and Georgia Avenue, per a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
Officers found that the electronic sign board had been hacked.
Police erased the message, and “arranged to have the sign removed,” according to police.
