
Karen Randolph was interviewed by Montgomery County Councilmembers Tuesday for the position of chief operating officer with the Department of Technology and Enterprise Business Solutions.
If chosen to this newly created position, Randolph would receive $205,000 plus benefits.
The job entails reviewing technology for the entire county and striving to keep it up to date, particularly in the area of cyber security.
Previously, Randolph worked in federal government as well as with the City of Raleigh in North Carolina. In Raleigh, she worked with Gail Roper, who would be her supervisor. Roper is chief information officer at the county department.
