Fani-González Hosts Workshop Monday on Energy Efficiency Programs for Homeowners, Businesses

Montgomery County Councilmember Natali Fani-González, Chair of the Economic Development Committee, will host a workshop Monday on energy-efficiency programs in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), according to a Council news release.

The event aims to educate homeowners and home improvement businesses about financial support for energy-efficient upgrades and weather resilience projects.

“This is a great opportunity to learn about programs that offer environmental benefits and financial savings,” Fani-González said. “I encourage residents and small businesses to attend.”

Attendees will gain insights into programs designed to improve property sustainability, lower energy costs, and enhance community resilience against extreme weather.

The workshop will take place at WorkSource Montgomery Wheaton American Job Center, located at 11510 Georgia Ave., Wheaton, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
