Councilmember Will Jawando announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 Monday as cases continue to rise in Montgomery County.
“Thankfully, I am fully vaccinated and boosted against the virus and am only experiencing mild symptoms,” he stated, adding that he is in isolation and will work remotely.
He urged all eligible residents to get their vaccinations and booster shots to protect themselves and their loved ones.
The county currently is in the medium community level status with 704 new cases on May 14 and 319.7 cases per 100,000 residents during the previous seven days.
