Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles will hold a series of community conversations. The meetings aim to create safe and vibrant communities.
“We want to hear from you!” said Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles. As the council’s lead for eliminating disparities, Sayles sees these discussions as a platform to highlight progress on social determinants of health, increasing crime rates, and economic vibrancy.
The councilmember is partnering with Regional Services Center Directors to host events at the following locations:
- East County Regional Services Center

Tuesday, July 9, 6-8 p.m. - Wheaton Library & Recreation Center

In addition to Regional Services Center Directors, the events include the Collaboration Council, WorkSource Montgomery, the Chambers of Commerce, small businesses, and the Montgomery County Police Department. Sayles believes each group’s contribution is vital for sharing work on youth development, public safety, and economic development.
