Essie McGuire, Montgomery County Council’s senior legislative analyst, unanimously was named Montgomery County Public School’s (MCPS) Chief of Staff. She will work in the superintendent’s office.
She has worked for 26 years for the county council and previously worked at MCPS for five years. She held such positions as associate superintendent for operations and executive director for operations.
Also unanimously appointed by the Board of Education Tuesday were Adnan Mamoon, who was named deputy chief in the Office of Facilities Management, and Joshua Williams, who was named Principal at Field Roads Elementary School in Gaithersburg.
