Montgomery County health officials have announced the COVID-19 testing schedule for the upcoming week.
Testing will be available starting early Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18, from 9.a.m. to 1 p.m. Testing is also available at 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Silver Spring Civic Building, a walk-up clinic.
The parking garage behind Regal Cinema in Germantown, Md., will conduct testing almost every weekday with the exception of Wednesday. It will operate as an outdoor drive-thru clinic. Other available sites are:
- Wheaton Library & Community Recreation Center, operating as a walk-up clinic Monday and Wednesday.
- White Oak Community Recreation Center, operating as a walk-up clinic Tuesday and Thursday.
- Recreation Department Administrative Building, operating as a walk-up clinic Friday.
- CDC Mobile Trailer at the Lakeforest mall in Gaithersburg, Md, an outdoor drive-thru clinic, operating Wednesday and Friday.
All testing sites encourage online appointment, but walk-ups are welcome. The self-administered nasal swab tests are free, and no doctor’s order is required. The county is not currently offering antibody testing.
Most common symptoms for coronavirus include fever, cough, shortness of breath, body aches and new loss of taste or smell, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines. Residents with symptoms should call the Testing Helpline at 240-777-1755 for assistance with testing
