The county will celebrate national adoption month with judges James A. Bonifant and Joan E. Ryon finalizing seven adoptions at 4:00 p.m. Friday.
The final adoption proceedings will take place in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County Judicial Center in Rockville.
Mary Anderson, County Health and Human Services Information Officer, told MyMCM the children were in the county’s child welfare system. The youngest of the children is just four years old.
“Some of the children adopted today have been in foster care for more than 1000 days,” Anderson said.
Six additional adoptions have taken place since January.
