The County Council will hold public hearings to discuss the county’s operating budget for the 2024 fiscal year. County Executive Marc Elrich proposed a $6.8 billion budget with a 10% property tax increase last month.
Four public hearings will be held on April 11 and April 13 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day. The hearings will be held on the third floor of the Council Office Building. There is also a zoom option for those who would like to attend the meeting virtually.
The Council holds the public hearings and conducts worksessions prior to determining the budget for the 2024 fiscal year which starts on July 1, 2023.
