Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics
Sunday morning, the Maryland Department of Health reported 8,206 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, which is an increase of 218 cases over Saturday’s 7,988.
According to the health department, 437 county residents have died form COVID-19. The number of probable deaths is 38.
There have been 1,936 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 294 deaths in Montgomery County nursing homes and assisted living facilities according to the Maryland Department of Health numbers released Wednesday. Nursing home case numbers are reported on a weekly basis.
Maryland COVID-19 Statistics
As of Sunday morning, there were 38,804 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is an increase of 836 cases in the last 24 hours. There were 1,876 deaths, an increase of 34 deaths.
In Maryland, 6,993 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak of COVID-19.
On Sunday, 1,460 Marylanders are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, which is a decrease of 40 patients. Of the currently hospitalized patients, 562 are in intensive care.
A total of 12,052 cases and 777 deaths involve the state’s African American community.
There have been 7,538 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 995 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. This is a 21 percent increase in cases and a 26 percent increase in deaths since Wednesday, May 6.
The number includes 5,329 cases and 983 deaths in residents.
