Montgomery County is holding 12 COVID-19 testing clinics the week of Sept. 28. The clinics provide free walk-in and drive-thru testing at multiple locations throughout the county. Testing clinics are free, and no doctor’s order is required. Online appointments are encouraged but are not required.
Appointments may be made on the County’s testing website.
County health officials are asking anyone with COVID-19 symptoms to call the Testing Helpline at 240-777-1755 for assistance with testing.
The County’s home-based testing and human services screening are available for eligible residents. Find more information on the home-based testing and eligibility on the testing website.
The clinics are using tests provided by CIAN Diagnostic Laboratories in Frederick. Coronavirus genetic material is detected with a lab technique called polymerase chain reaction or PCR. Testing is self-administered using a nasal swab. The county does not offer antibody testing.
