The most circulated book from the Montgomery County Public Libraries system by adults was “Tom Lake” by Ann Patchett at 10,155. The next two most circulated books by adults were “Demon Copperhead: A Novel,” by Barbara Kingsolver at 9.967 and “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store” by James McBride 9,883 copies.

Four of Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling made the top 10 most circulated items for children. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” ranked first, with 3,685 copies circulated.
“No Brainer,” one of the Dairy of a Wimpy Kid series, by Jeff Kinney, was taken out 2,464 times followed by “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” which reached 2,169 readers.
