On Friday, the Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) launches its new mobile app. Now for the first time library patrons can conveniently access a wide range of library resources and services. The new app is compatible with Apple and Google Play platforms.
Features available on-the-go include:
- Full Catalog Access: Patrons can search the entire MCPL catalogue – books, audiobooks, eBooks and more
- Digital Resources: A wide range of digital content is available from audiobooks to streaming media
- Account Management: Manage checkouts and holds
- Barcode Scanning: Checkout your book using the camera on your phone
- Library Information: Find branch locations, hours, and contact information
- Event Calendars: Find upcoming events, workshops and programs
“The new Montgomery County Libraries’ mobile app is another step toward making our resources easier to access for everyone in the community,” said County Executive Marc Elrich.
