Free flu vaccination clinics are being offered throughout Montgomery County for those at least six months old.
A high dose flu vaccine for people 65 years and older is available on a first-come, first-served basis at county clinics.
“I encourage everyone to get their flu shot this season,” said County Executive Elrich. “It is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect yourself, your family and those around you.”
Vaccine clinics will be held:

These two clinics are a partnership between Montgomery County Health and Human Services and the University of Maryland System.

Besides becoming vaccinated, the county suggests people cover their mouths and noses with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and then discarding the tissue. If there is no tissue, sneeze into the inside of an elbow.
Other advice includes frequent hand washing, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth and staying away from anyone who is sick. Stay home when feeling unwell.
