The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is accepting applications from nonprofits for the Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Community Services Grants Program.
The grants being offered by DHHS are targeted to assist nonprofits with health and human services initiatives that “promote a safe, healthy, and self-sufficient community,” a press release said.
The department will give preference to projects with a focus on the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonprofits can be awarded up to $10,000.
“These grants are about empowering neighbors to help neighbors,” DHHS Director Dr. Raymond Crowel said in a statement. “At a time when the needs in our community have been greatly exacerbated by the pandemic, I am proud to know that these dollars will go a long way to strengthen our County’s robust social safety net.”
