The Montgomery County Public Libraries will be hosting a virtual sleepover on Friday, August 7 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This event is designed for children from ages eight to 10 years old and will feature activities such as a meet the author talk with Jonathan Roth, a cooking lesson, an interactive trivia game, a read-aloud, and a bedtime dance-party, according to a library press release.
Registration is required to receive the zoom link and spots are limited.
For children interested in cooking along with the demonstration, they will need an adult’s assistance as well as the following supplies, as listed on the registration page:
- a tortilla, or sliced English muffin, bagel, or bread
- tomato sauce, or pizza sauce, or alfredo sauce
- your favorite pizza toppings, already chopped or shredded (examples: cheese, peppers, pineapple, mushrooms, onions, olives)=
- spices & seasonings (examples: oregano, basil, Italian blend, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes)
- a toaster-oven
