Montgomery County’s COVID-19 indoor mask mandate was lifted as of 11:59 p.m. Monday.
The change does not impact the face covering requirement in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) or on public transportation, and businesses can set their own masking rules.
The mask mandate was previously lifted last October but reinstated a month later.
On Tuesday, MyMCM spoke with residents around Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg to hear their perspectives on the mandate ending.
