Jagbots robotics team from Northwest High School
Two robotics teams from Montgomery County high schools are among 49 teams competing for a spot in the FIRST Robotics League Chesapeake Region District Championships from April 3 – 6 at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md.
The Blair Robot Project from Montgomery Blair High School and the Jagbots from Northwest High School will compete to secure a spot at the FIRST Championship in Houston, April 16-19.
The Jagbots are refining their robot in preparation for the District Championship, and recent improvements have focused on enhancing their elevator feature.
This weekend’s championship outcome will determine which teams move forward to the global stage in Houston. Montgomery County teams will launch fundraising efforts to support their journey if they qualify.
