Looking for rare spirits? You may be in luck.
Montgomery County’s Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) will take registrations for an annual limited availability whiskey lottery starting Sunday.
More than 1,000 bottles will be available to buy through the lottery. The lotteries are free, available to those over 21 and have residency requirements, the county said.
The first lottery will open for Maryland residents, while the second will serve county residents. A third lottery for those with licenses to sell alcohol will also take place.
Registration starts Sunday, April 7 at 12:01 p.m. and will continue through the following Saturday, April 13 at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced April 22, the county said.
