Nominations are now being accepted by the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights for their 2024 Hall of Fame class. The nomination period will run until Nov. 25.
According to a press release, the Human Rights Hall of Fame seeks to honor individuals who have worked to improve the advancement of human and civil rights within the county. Nominees can either be currently active or long-deceased.
Classes have been inducted biennially since 2001, with the 2024 class being the 13th. This year’s class will join the 108 individuals who have already received the honor.
You can view past inductees and submit a nomination form here. This year’s induction ceremony will be held at Germantown’s BlackRock Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15.
