D.C. Man Arrested for Multiple Thefts at Brooks Brothers in Bethesda

Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) from the 2nd District arrested and charged Arlic Williams, 45, of Washington D.C. in connection with a series of thefts at Brooks Brothers in the 5500 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. 

The investigation revealed that Williams repeatedly entered the Brooks Brothers store from February 2023 to August 2024 and stole merchandise according to the MCPD. He was later identified through surveillance footage from each incident. 

On Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Williams, charging him with theft scheme: $25,000 to under $100,000, theft: $1,500 to under $25, 0000 and other related charges. 

Williams was transported from a detention center in Washington D.C. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024 where he was held for unrelated charges to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He has been released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.
