It’s never too early to get excited about the Gaithersburg Book Festival (GBF).
On May 17, popular, award-winning and brand new authors spanning all genres will be reading from their works and signing their books at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.
Humor columnist and book author Dave Barry is returning as is Sara Goodman Confino, a former English high school teacher in Montgomery County. International best seller Jeffery Deaver and author of six New York Times best-selling novels Wally Lamb will be there.
Remember “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?” Judith Viorst will be at the festival. She’ll be talking about her latest book, “Making the Best of What’s Left: When We’re Too Old to Get the Chairs Reupholstered.”
Eric Puchner’s novel Dream State was selected Tuesday as one of Oprah Book Club picks.
As always, there will be a Children’s Village and lots of writing workshops.
Like to read mystery, children’s, action, science fiction, romance, poetry, best sellers? There will be plenty to choose from.
Check out the list of authors here and check back again as the list continues to take shape.
“Not a bad way to spend a Saturday! Join us. It’s free to attend, free to park, and fun for all ages!” Ashman said.
I'm so excited to announce that @LynneSchmidt will be bringing their "raw, real, and unbearably beautiful" chapbook, The Unaccounted For Circles of Hell, to the @GburgBookFest as a Featured Author! And I made a big foam-backed book for Lynne to display!https://t.co/qq31LxjsvF pic.twitter.com/JERAbTMraF
