Dave’s Hot Chicken is reportedly coming to White Oak.
A franchisee has signed a lease for space at the White Oak Town Center, the Washington Business Journal reported Tuesday, and the chain has celebrity investors including Drake and Samuel L. Jackson.
The rapper Drake became a significant investor in Dave’s after taking notice of the concept in 2021, according to the Dave’s Hot Chicken website. Dave’s Hot Chicken started as three childhood friends who opened the concept in an East Hollywood parking lot in 2017 with folding tables and a portable fryer, per the website.
The menu features chicken tenders, chicken sliders and sides including fries, mac-and-cheese and kale slaw.
