Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection will be hosting a “Digital Solar Happy Hour” focused on bringing solar energy and electric vehicle charging to homes and small businesses.
The digital happy hour will be held on Thursday, May 14 live online from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event is in partnership with local breweries and Solar United Neighbors. There will also be information about solar technology, cost savings and financing during the event, according to the county.
People who attend the digital happy hour can also talk to solar users and electric vehicle owners and ask questions. Attendees must register in advance. Those who register by noon on Tuesday, May 12 could win a free six-pack of beer from a local partnering brewery. The event is free and attendees are not required to buy solar panels, according to the county.

Event attendees will also learn about the fourth Solar Co-op in the county which is giving people the opportunity this year to install an electric vehicle charger in homes and businesses, according to the county.
