The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is offering free classes to adults who want to learn how to use electric scooters.
Three companies will provide scooters so people can test them out, learn basic safety tips and basic scooter laws. Training sessions are free and no registration is required.
Classes will be held at these locations from noon-2 p.m.:
- The Upper County Recreation Center parking lot at 8201 Emory Grove Road in Gaithersburg on 4/30
- The Wheaton Ice Arena parking lot on the back left side at 11717 Orebaugh Avenue in Wheaton on 5/7
- The Montgomery College Rockville Campus parking lot #13 at 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville on 6/11
Participants must be at least 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license to participate.
