Crews forced entry into apartment and extinguished a kitchen fire in Gaithersburg Saturday just before 7 p.m. One dog and two parakeets were rescued from the smoke-filled terrace level apartment located at 15 Prism Place.
No injuries or displacements per a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services (MCFRS). The resident was alerted by Webcam that a fire was in his apartment while he was at work according to MCFRS.
