Legendary local and national radio personality Donnie Simpson announced Wednesday that his final show on MAJIC 102.3 will be on Friday.
Simpson, a veteran of 55 years in radio and a longtime Montgomery County resident, stressed that he is not retiring.
He will continue with his podcast and Video Soul TV show which originally aired on BET and can now be seen on the streaming service Tubi.
Simpson has hosted The Donnie Simpson Show on MAJIC since 2015. The show airs Monday-Friday from 3-7 p.m. Previously, he hosted The Donnie Simpson Morning Show from 1993-2010.
Simpson, who will turn 70 on January 30, was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2020.
