Starting Monday, residents who have disabilities can get COVID-19 rapid test kits via drive-thru at Montgomery College Germantown, said Sean O’Donnell, Montgomery County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager.
The drive-thru PCR testing site at the campus, run by state partners, will also distribute rapid tests to those with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) tags/licenses. See hours of operation here.
“We know it’s been brought up by individuals with disabilities — the challenge of potentially waiting in line at a library to get rapid tests,” O’Donnell said during a county council media briefing Monday. If the Germantown site is too far, O’Donnell says residents should contact the COVID-19 Call Center at 240-777-2982 and the county will work to accommodate.
Public libraries continue to offer free rapid test kit pickup. See the distribution schedule here.
